After moving over a dozen times during my youth, my life became a representation of iteration. Each new start grew from what was familiar and collectively helped shape the future of that new environment. As a teenager, I remember killing time reading my Dad’s tattered copy of Saul Alinsky’s, Rules for Radicals. What stuck with me from those pages is the perspective of a “means leading to another means”. He defined a process that highlights a positively productive struggle that has consistently influenced my practices of art and design for the last three decades. A noxious fuel of atomic curiosity and concentrated awareness that makes strategy of thought and informed action never-ending, ever-defining, and visceral.
