Form and Function
A rational design solution using references from 1950's Dutch Avant Garde type design, as well as sign painting. Inspiration comes from designers such as Wim Crouwel, Herb Lubalin, Piet Zwart, and Theo Van Doesburg. The vertical and lateral motions of gestures found within sign painting inform the contrast, weight, and proportions of each letterform.
